世界讀書日
10年前，聯(lián)合國教科文組織把4月23日確定為“世界圖書與版權(quán)日(又稱“世界讀書日”)。2005年4月23日是第10個“世界讀書日”。自1995年世界讀書日宣布以來，每年的這一天世界上100多個國家和地區(qū)在政府的支持下，出版機構(gòu)、學(xué)校、圖書館、社區(qū)等各界人士都要開展豐富多彩的閱讀日慶典活動，把讀書日的宣傳活動變成一場熱熱鬧鬧的歡樂節(jié)日。
但是，在中國，這個世界性的讀書節(jié)還未被社會公眾所知曉，更談不上是節(jié)日。據(jù)搜狐讀書網(wǎng)站2004年調(diào)查顯示：知道“世界讀書日”的人僅占6%，27%的人雖聽說過但不知詳情，67%的人從未聽說過這個日子。
