高二英語第七單元重難點分析

　　1。You mean it looks strange! I’ll tell you something that does sound strange。你是說這看上去奇怪！我要告訴你聽起來確實奇怪的事。

　　這兩句話中分別用到了連系動詞look（看上去是）和sound（聽起來是）。類似的連系動詞還有：smell（聞上去是），feel（摸起來）， taste（嘗起來）。使用這類連系動詞時，不要用進行時和被動語態(tài)。如：

　　How sweet the music sounds!這音樂聽上去多美！

　　The water feels cold。水摸起來很涼。

　　They taste like carrots。它們的味道像胡蘿卜。

　　另外，第二句中的does用以強調(diào)，表示“確實”、“的確”等，以加強語氣。如：

　　He did attend the meeting early then。他當時的確很早就到會了。

　　Do come on time。務(wù)必按時光臨。

　　I do want to be sure。 Do be silent!我確實想肯定。安靜！

　　2。In the north， the winters are long and hard， with snow for six months of the year。北方，冬天漫長而嚴酷，一年有半年的積雪。

　　hard在此表示“嚴酷的”、“艱難的”。該詞的另一些形容詞詞義需要弄清楚。如：

　　堅硬的adj。

　　Skate on hard enough ice。在足夠硬的冰上溜冰。

　　The snow has frozen hard on the road。路上的雪已經(jīng)凍得很硬了。

　　困難的，艱難的`hard questions難題；a hard assignment。困難的任務(wù)

　　Is science harder than English?自然科學比英語難學嗎?

　　It takes years of hard work to complete the project。完成這項工程需要多年的艱苦工作。

　　強有力的；劇烈的

　　a hard push奮力一推

　　The forecast says there’s going to be a hard frost tonight。天氣預(yù)報說今夜有嚴重霜凍。

　　嚴厲的，苛刻的；無情的

　　a hard master嚴師；a hard heart鐵石心腸；a hard customer挑剔的顧客

　　Don't be too hard on the boy。不要對這個小男孩太苛刻了。

　　With表示“具有”、“伴隨”等意思，中文翻譯較為靈活。如：

　　Do you know the woman with a baby in her arms?你認識抱著娃娃的那位婦女嗎？

　　China is a country with a long history。中國是一個歷史悠久的國家。
