英語(yǔ)四六級(jí)選詞填空題型特征及解題步驟
(一)題型特征
該題型是大家在考場(chǎng)上比較頭疼的一種題型，因?yàn)槊孔鲆粋�(gè)空格都要從 15個(gè)選項(xiàng)里選出一個(gè)，看似是“15選1”的工作，實(shí)際不然。每個(gè)空格前后都有單詞的語(yǔ)法搭配，比如如果空格前出現(xiàn)一個(gè)“a”，而后面沒(méi)有任何信息，那么空格就一定要填可數(shù)名詞單數(shù)的形式，而且以輔音發(fā)音開(kāi)始。所以這種題型的選項(xiàng)的詞性就顯得尤為重要。如果判斷出每個(gè)空格所填單詞的詞性，就去相關(guān)詞性的選項(xiàng)去找就可以了。而且選項(xiàng)的詞性一般只有四種：名詞、動(dòng)詞、形容詞、副詞。副詞數(shù)量較少，一般為2-3個(gè)，其他三個(gè)詞性的選項(xiàng)一般平均分配。當(dāng)我們判斷出選項(xiàng)的詞性及形式時(shí)，我們就會(huì)縮小范圍。有時(shí)可以達(dá)到“3選1”，“2選1”，甚至偶爾可能“1選1”的情況。
(二)做題步驟
根據(jù)上述分析，我們發(fā)現(xiàn)選項(xiàng)的判斷很重要，建議做題步驟如下：
第一步：看選項(xiàng)
在看選項(xiàng)時(shí)，要注意標(biāo)注選項(xiàng)的詞性和詞義。很多同學(xué)不認(rèn)識(shí)單詞的意思，但是要盡量把詞性標(biāo)出來(lái)。因?yàn)橛械臅r(shí)候只靠詞性及其形式就可以做題了，甚至是“蒙”題。
我們拿2006年12月的題目為例。15個(gè)選項(xiàng)分別為：A. estimate(v. 估計(jì))、B.strength(n.力)、C.deliberately(adv.故意地)、D.notify(v.通知)、 E.tropical(adj.熱帶的)、F.phenomenon(n.現(xiàn)象)、G.stable(adj.穩(wěn)定的)、H.attraction(n. 吸引力)、I.completely(adv.完全地)、J.destructive(adj.形容詞)、K.starvation(n.饑餓)、 L.bringing(v.帶來(lái))、M.exhaustion(n.消耗)、N.worth(n.價(jià)值;adj.值得的)、O.strike(n./v. 打擊)。
第二步：讀文章，選答案
跟完形填空類(lèi)似，建議以段為單位讀文章，然后再選擇。重點(diǎn)閱讀首段首句，該句一般不設(shè)空格，是為了讓考生了解本文主題。同時(shí)當(dāng)讀到空格時(shí)，根據(jù)空格前后詞匯的語(yǔ)法搭配，以及上下文的`關(guān)系，判斷空格填入單詞的詞性、形式及大意。如47題，空格前有“This strange”，后面有“happens”，該空格應(yīng)該填入一個(gè)名詞，而且是可數(shù)名詞的單數(shù)形式，同時(shí)“This”這個(gè)單詞出現(xiàn)表明前文已經(jīng)出現(xiàn)了空格處詞匯的原詞或近義詞。前一句話(huà)中有“change”這個(gè)核心名詞。根據(jù)上述分析，空格處填F選項(xiàng)(phenomenon)比較合適。又如空格 56，“…but they are still not ____ sure…”，分析語(yǔ)法結(jié)構(gòu)，空格處應(yīng)該填入副詞，而副詞只有兩個(gè)，分別是C和I，對(duì)于很多人來(lái)說(shuō)，C選項(xiàng)可能不熟悉，但是I選項(xiàng)一定認(rèn)識(shí)。帶入I選項(xiàng)發(fā)現(xiàn)非常通順，該題答案即為I選項(xiàng)。
