第一講 大學(xué)英語四級考試的命題趨勢與特點(diǎn)
大學(xué)英語四級考試的總體趨勢是：重視語言運(yùn)用，增加主觀題份量，多采用主觀題形式的新題型，將語言知識的檢測融于運(yùn)用之中，側(cè)重能力考查，四級寒假補(bǔ)習(xí)講座（1）。聽力對話部分設(shè)題較為固定，但主觀題測試概率增加。閱讀理解側(cè)重語篇理解，其次為邏輯推理；細(xì)節(jié)題仍然存在；詞匯題突出詞語辨析；完形填空側(cè)重短文理解和詞語搭配考查。英譯漢主要考查長句子、復(fù)雜結(jié)構(gòu)句。寫作除圖表作文，多為觀點(diǎn)論述“三段式”作文。
一、聽力部分命題趨勢與特點(diǎn)

1. 在歷年四級考試的聽力理解中對數(shù)字計算、特定的場所、人物關(guān)系、身份或職業(yè)等進(jìn)行提問的題目每次都占有一定的比例，這類題目是有關(guān)時間、年齡、價格、倍數(shù)、路程、房號等。表示場所等的題型其常見的提問方式有：
1. Where is the conversation most probably taking place?
2. Where is the man/woman probably going?
3. What is the man most probably ?
4. Who is the man/woman?
5. What is the probable relationship between the two speakers?
要做好這類題，首先要養(yǎng)成預(yù)測 (prediction)的習(xí)慣，其次要提高判斷能力，大學(xué)英語《四級寒假補(bǔ)習(xí)講座（1）》。要做到判斷正確，關(guān)鍵詞必須抓住，同時必須積累一定的`文化背景知識。如 1993年6月的考題中有這樣一題：

本題答案為選項(xiàng) C。有許多同學(xué)選錯了，是因?yàn)闆]弄清楚Aunt Mary ' s是女士的目的地。對話是特定場合下的人的行為。場合不同，人們的語言有所差異；人們的身份不同、職業(yè)不同,關(guān)系親疏不同，說出的話也不同。因此，我們可以根據(jù)人們的語言推斷其身份、職業(yè)、關(guān)系及對話的特定場合。堅持聽力訓(xùn)練，不斷積累語言知識和文化背景知識，這類考題是不難應(yīng)付的。
2. 推斷結(jié)論題是四級聽力考試中常出現(xiàn)的一種題型，也是考生感到較難的題型。這類題目中男女雙方表達(dá)意思的方式都較為含蓄，考生往往不能從對話中直接獲取答案，而要根據(jù)對話的內(nèi)容利用邏輯推理、歸納，來辨別出說話人的真實(shí)意圖、態(tài)度等。常見的提問形式有：

2. What does the man/woman imply?
3. What can we learn from the conversation?
4. What can be inferred/concluded from the conversation?
